Anyone buying into the QSC product line with these and making afuture step up to the KSeries would already own agreat set of monitors as part of ascalable branded rig just don't plan on trading them in at alater date, as you'll want to keep them! Before we got this speaker we had the original K10 boxes, and they were fantastic! I did not find them in the database either, just the Dark Matter 112. Seems to be a great speaker. So a good starter system for a small venue would be 2 powered mains, 2 powered floor wedges, a subwoofer and a mixing console. It also has integrated DSP that filters out lows progressively as you go louder to keep the signal clean.
Has anyone tried the Yamaha DBR12 Powered Loudspeaker? The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I have no control on the unit of the lows, mid-range and high's. If you're interested in the FRFR aspect of the DBR10, we go into much more detail in this. No wires provided. They punch well above their size, you might say. But, even with drum module and speaker input both turned up to 100%, it's not nearly as loud/punchy as the Eon at 75% with the module also set to 75%. This particular model comes with a three-way speaker design that can really put out some serious volume, sporting a 15" LF driver, a 6.6" MF driver and a 1.75" tweeter. DXR's are great and a 7 year warranty, I have the 10's -> PLENTY of low end, I actually have to tame them a bit. Compact, light and very portable. Boycott speaker/amp companies that refuse to publish their continuous/RMS ratings!! The 3 year warranty with these speakers is kind of a dick move imo.
